Engagement Agreement Letter

The terms detailed below list the engagement and outlines the nature and limitations of the services to be provided by Burroughs Tax LLC.

Scope of Services
Burroughs Tax LLC will prepare your 2025 federal income tax return and any applicable state income tax returns based solely on the information you provide. The tax returns will be prepared using standard professional tax preparation software.

We may ask for clarification or additional information as needed; however, we will not audit, verify, or independently validate the data you submit.

Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information necessary to prepare your tax returns. This includes all income, deductions, credits, and other relevant tax data.

You should retain all documents, receipts, canceled checks, and other records that support the amounts reported on your tax returns. These documents may be required in the event of an inquiry or examination by a taxing authority.

You remain fully responsible for the contents of your tax returns. Please review your completed returns carefully before approving them for filing.

Tax Organizer
You may use the provided tax organizer to help gather required information. While use of the organizer is not mandatory, it can help ensure that important information is not overlooked and may contribute to more efficient preparation of your return(s).

Limitations of Services
The only accounting or analysis services we will provide are those necessary for the preparation of your income tax returns. No additional accounting, bookkeeping, or financial advisory services are included unless agreed to separately in writing.

To the best of my knowledge the information enclosed in this client tax organizer is correct and includes all income, deductions, and other information necessary for the preparation of this year's income tax returns for which I have sufficient records and support. I authorize Burroughs Tax LLC to file my federal and state returns electronically.
